Toowoomba Wedding Photography – Dom and Sarah – teasers

I love these two, Dom and Sarah, such lovely people. I can say I’ve had a few drinks with them now, on a few occasions, and anyone who can handle chatting to me for long periods of time is cool in my books.

SO this was my first trip out to Toowoomba (being a Sydney boy originally) and so I didn’t quite know what to expect. Maybe a little country town, lots of hills, cows, the odd gum tree..

But then I guess this Gabbinbar Homestead place actually isn’t very typical of anywhere I have been, besides maybe in the South of France somewhere. What a spectacular venue! So immaculate, so huge, so well looked after and such great helpful staff. I wandered around for hours discovering little spots thinking of taking pics later. Of course we didn’t get to fit them all in, but we did our best. I hope to go back one day and finish that off!

Anyway, Sarah married Dom, in fantasy land, in “The Woods” actually, in front of the most amazing floral backdrop I have ever seen, well done Amanda from Deans, the whole place just looked stunning.

They danced under fireworks, drank champagne all night, never stopped kissing the whole day, and now they will be together forever.

I sincerely wish you guys all the best in love and life, but it seems you will be fine.

Thanks to my good mate and fabulous 2nd shooter Pete Oakman for coming along and taking a huge load off.

Rain is romance. The way these two look at each other is contagious, in Love.

Just a few of my faves from the beautiful rainy day Brisbane country wedding of Adrian and Monica, at the beautiful Brockhurst Farm in Ocean View.

Yes the page boy, with rings in hand, broke out into a dance in the middle of a verse reading, much to the embarrassment of the flower girls!

Monica and Adrian got hitched in Gum boots!

Byron Bay Wedding Photographer – Hugh and Elle – some favourites first

Elle and Hugh’s beautiful little country wedding day was quite an adventure.

The sun shone all day, as did Elle’s smile. The night was “quite” cold, but the stars shone brightly.

The view of Mount Barney in the background made for one stunning backdrop.

There was delicious food by Progressive Catering and Events

Elle’s dress was made by her mum, and a lot of the wedding details were all a family and friends affair……the desert table was to die for!

Hugh and Elle, thankyou for being so In Love, making my job so easy and enjoyable, and for being so hospitable. Also thanks for choosing the Mt Barney Country Lodge, what a gorgeous place it is!

Sydney Wedding Photography | Ann and Paul’s Wedding at Q Station [teasers] by Deus Photography

Ann and Paul’s love story has the quintessential elements of an antipodean romance. They first met at their workplace in Sydney, and while Paul had plans to move back to the UK he couldn’t quite shake the feeling that he needed this woman by his side. As fate would have it, Ann felt the same way and they are now living happily ever after in Paul’s home country. To take advantage of the Sydney summer they held their wedding at Q Station, which has some of the best Sydney wedding photography opportunities a photographer could hope for.

Q Station is renowned for its panoramic views of Sydney’s incredible harbour and location within the beautiful surrounds of Sydney Harbour National Park. Q Station’s fascinating and slightly macabre history has been well and truly replaced by a thriving wedding and accommodation establishment. The meals provided to the guests and my Sydney wedding photography team were really top shelf. I was relieved to see they were also compliant with the ‘I Quit Sugar‘ Program that Jane currently has me on (with the exception of the delicious wedding cake, which I didn’t touch, promise! That was really tough!).

Considering the amount of wedding planning-from-afar that Ann and Paul would have experienced, I was amazed to see the amount of personal touches and DIY that were scattered throughout the wedding. Ann and her bridesmaids were responsible for designing and making their stunning dresses. Ann also made her own bridal necklace and was involved in the making of her bouquet. What a touching tribute to her home country her bouquet was, using our national flower the Flannel Flower.

Destination Wedding Photography and Wedding Photography in Byron Bay – Best of 2015

2015 was full of challenges for us. Managing a family with 2 under 2’s, finding time for yourself and for each other and running a business double-handedly, sure can push you to your limits! We had the privilege of trust from many amazing couples, traveled across the world and visited some beautiful parts of our own country.

Below are a bunch of snapshots in time, they all tell a story, and I think they all belong on a wall…somewhere.

Looking back, our photography sure has come a long way since we started over 6 years. We are proud of what we have to show, and the memories we have given to all our love birds out there in marriage bliss.

Thanks to everyone in our lives for your support, especially our families and 2nd shooters, it’s been a fun ride and we are so lucky to be able to do what we do.
