Byron Bay Wedding Scott and Rachael – Horizon, Byron Bay

I went up to the top of the Byron Hinterland to Horizon the day before Scott and Rachael’s big day, and the wind wasn’t exactly still. I could barely walk outside for fear of being blown off the deck down into the pond! The view was breathtaking though, so I just crossed my fingers that the god’s would behave.

Well the next morning, there was calm, and also in the house, as Scott and Rachael prepared to walk down the aisle.

Rachael chose a floral gown, spectacularly pulled off by Wendy Makin, and Scott hadn’t seen it and I was told had no idea what it looked like, boy he was in for a surprise.

Once the lads were all dapper, they headed out to the deck to wait for the girls. The always charismatic Benjamin Carlyle was out hyping up the crowd, it was all on.

The clouds parted and the sun came out for the vows.  Then Byron got a bit angry, the wind came, and there was a spectacular light display on the horizon. Of course after that it poured rain for the rest of the night while everyone danced and drank the night away.

Here is the little story of Scott and Rachael’s day through my camera, and all the inbetweens of the above mentioned.
