Byron Bay Wedding Photography – Brett and Kirsty – teasers
It was a romantic rainy day in paradise the day Kirsty and Brett were married, their gorgeous kids aside them all the way, with
There was lots of emotional tears all around, the rain made it such an intimate gathering.
The Earth house in Clunes, Byron Bay gave us a spectacular backdrop with clouds rolling through the valleys off in the distance.
Kirsty wore a stunning Grace Loves Lace dress and her elegant and very fragrant Bouquet was by the talented French Petal. The energy was high as the rain came down, thanks to the always charismatic Ben Carlyle.
Jade and Sid join together as one, on a breezy spring day, in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW.
You are two of the very loveliest humans I’ve met in a long time, such a pleasure to be around.
Your day was full of love, laughter, dancing, great food and wine, lots of kissing and thoughtful words being spoken all around. Your families were so extremely happy for you two to be spending the rest of your lives together, the tears showed it. I’m so glad you guys found each other, and I am so thankful that I was part of it all, I feel blessed. Jade, what a dress! Oh my you looked stunning!
So lets skip along to the story of the day now for a few sneaky pics.
Sid stands proudly at the amazing historic St. Francis Xavier chapel waiting for his bride to be Jade to join him. A very proud father walks Jade down the aisle to meet her man and gives Jade away, what a moment. What more could a Wedding Photographer hope for than a start like that in such a beautiful old church!
After an amazing ceremony, the party moved to the absolutely epic Bendooley Estate.
Jade and Sid and I managed to sneak off to take a few pics around the Estate, before we all joined their crew to celebrate on into the night.
You guys were blessed with a gorgeous spring day in wonderland. It sprinkled down for one short moment (what I think was God shedding a tear of happiness for you) then the sun shone on us for hours as we wandered around one of the best wedding venues in Australia. The sun went down and the sky was full of stars.
One truly memorable day. Thank you, thank you to you two!
For now here are a few teasers that caught my eye when browsing through the story of your day. Hope you like. More to come soon!

Byron Bay Wedding Photography – Josh and Robyn – Earth House
Robyn and Josh married last weekend on a glorious day in paradise, two wonderful lovers and soulmates.
What more could a Byron Bay Wedding Photographer hope for!
Speaking of wonderful…
This was from Robyn and Josh after I thanked them the other day for having us along.
“Hi Matt,
Well, what can we say? Thank you seems inadequate but we sincerely thank yourself and Pete for your amazing effort last Saturday for our special day. You guys rocked! Thanks for making it easy for the both of us, because truth is we both hate photos (but love looking at them of course).
We hope you both enjoyed your day with us and we can’t wait to share your work with all our family and friends (and whoever will look or listen! Hehe).
Cheers Matt!
Robyn & Josh”
So here are Pete and I again, at this breathtaking Earth House place. Thank you Munro for everything you do, Earth House really is a slice of paradise (actually, I think I might just start calling you ‘Sir Munro’ from now on)!
BUT, this place is kinda EXTRA spesh to me…it’s where my sister Hannah and I photographed our first wedding together.
Hannah usually shoots along side me but has recently had a baby. He’s Tex. He’s very cute, I love him to bits…etc, etc. Tex is a bit little yet and so Hannah wasn’t with me on this day, but our good friend, celebrant, Katrina Holt, (sporting a baby bump herself) was. And with such memorable elegant words Katrina bound these two lovers together.
So a few little things like this, kinda gave me extra smiles on the day. Thanks Katrina!, Babies!, Babies all round!
Babies aside, I would really again like to thank my friend and confidant, Pete. Your work is amazing, your support is priceless, plus you got me some photos a bit earlier than usual, hence being able to show off a few today!
Robyn and Josh, no, really, thank YOU, for allowing us to be a huge part of such a special day.
It is lovely, thoughtful, happy, thankful, and of course super cool humans like you guys, that not only make our jobs so very easy, but also incredibly satisfying and fulfilling.
Big thanks also to all your friends and families, what a great bunch of people!
I’ve decided to make this an extended teaser session, firstly to really say thanks again for those kind words you gave us, even before seeing any work we had done with you, and secondly also to show off some of Pete’s faves too.
Here’s a small bunch from the day, random choice for emphasis at times, others not so random! Enjoy!…and can I just say, “what a bloody great day you got married on hey!?”
Robyn and Josh also wanted to mention the following people, who contributed to their perfect day….and I would also like to thank them as well, as a matter of fact!

Byron Bay Wedding Photographer – Chris and Amelia – Earth House
I love Byron so much, I long to be there so I can truly tell myself I am a Byron Bay Wedding Photographer.
I get down there a lot though, so I’m close!?
Well Pete Oakman, my partner in crime, and I got down, and back to the epic Earth House last weekend. The sweetest lovebirds Amelia and Chris were married, under the fig tree, on a just beautiful Byron Bay sunny winters day….What a Kiss!!
These two Met on tinder! They fell in love with each others love of travel, snow, good times and great food. 3 and a half years and a kitty cat named Rosie later, now they are together forever.
Thank you for such a wonderful day guys.
I hope these few teasers keep you excited for whats to come soon.
Thanks once again to Munro for the perfect venue, 100 Mile Table for the mouth watering food, the always smiling Cara Gallagher for the beautifully spoken ceremony, the girls from The Events Co for a perfectly co-ordinated day, the boys from McGee Entertainment for the awesome tunes and Wilderness Flowers for the mind blowing flowers! There is just so much talent in the Byron Shire. *love*
And so Ash marries Paul. Lovers and partners for a long time, now joined together. They did this in front of their friends and family, and God. They said “I do!”
We nudged aside the asian paparazzi out the front of the cathedral to grab a few pics there, then headed up to Observatory Hill for the sunset. This is one of the best places for Sydney Wedding Photography, especially if you want to capture the sunset.
Thanks to Sydney for being on your best behavior on this very momentous day in two wonderful peoples lives.
Thankyou to Pier One for hosting a spectacular reception and for the great food and service and for the support you gave to Ash and Paul.
Hope you guys like these few for now.
More to come soon.
My thanks to Pete, my wing man, who came down all the with me from Brisbane and rocked the day with us all.
St Mary’s is one epic Sydney wedding venue thats for sure, but there is also a great feature we have done here on another epic part of NSW just over here. Please have a look.
